Foo Fighters ganha dois prêmios Emmy com a série documental Sonic Highways

A série Sonic Highways, produzida e dirigida por Dave Grohl do Foo Fighters, ganhou em Las Vegas, nos Estados Unidos, dois prêmios durante o 67º Creative Arts Emmy, categoria do Emmy que premia diretores de arte, figurinistas, diretores de fotografia, diretores de elenco e editores de som.


A produção faturou os prêmios Emmy de Melhor Mixagem de Som Para Programação de Não Ficção e Melhor Edição de Som Para Programação de Não Ficção.
Dentre os concorrentes estava Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, documentário sobre o ex-líder do Nirvana.

A série seguiu os integrantes do grupo por oito estúdios em oito cidades norte-americanas diferentes. Cada viagem rendeu uma música para o mais recente disco do Foo Fighters, também chamado Sonic Highways, que foi lançado no fim do ano passado. Recentemente foi anunciado que haverá uma segunda temporada do seriado.

Além disso, a série documental foi indicada aos prêmios de Melhor Série Informacional ou Especial e Melhor Direção Para Programação de Não Ficção.
A cerimonia principal do Emmy Awards acontece no próximo domingo, dia 20.
